Discount for new members. During your first three months as a member of ST, your membership is free of charge. After that period you pay a regular fee based on your monthly income before taxes. NOTE! The offer is not valid for those who have been a member of ST for the last 18 months.
Membership fee. Membership fees are paid the way in which the union board decides. This means that payments usually are made via payroll deduction. If this is not possible at your workplace, payment via invoice or bank direct debit is possible. See current membership fees here.
Income insurance. As a member of ST, you are covered by an income insurance. The insurance gives you financial security in case of unemployment. In order to receive compensation from the income insurance you must be connected to an unemployment insurance fund. More information on insurance and the complete terms can be found on Folksam's website.
Insurances. When you become a member of ST, you are automatically connected to an insurance package from Folksam. The package includes accident insurance, life insurance, health insurance and diagnosis insurance (event insurance). If you are under 60 years old, you are covered by single-benefit health insurance. The insurance policies are included in your membership at no extra cost for three months. During this period, you will receive a letter from Folksam offering you the chance to keep the policies at a member price.
